The Case: Owens v Owens On 17 May the case of Owens v Owens took place in the Supreme Court. Mrs Owens had been denied a divorce on the grounds that her husband’s behaviour was not deemed ‘unreasonable’ enough for the purposes of the divorce petition. Cheshire Divorcee Loses Divorce Deal Which Gave Her £175k A Year For Life
The ex wife of the multi-millionaire finance director of travel company TUI applied to the court to increase her maintenance of £175,000 a year by a further £23,000 in addition to her £9.76 million settlement at the time of the divorce in 2012.
